Let a Grok Bot audit your phone bill and negotiate with the carrier

Brian Roemmele installed Bill, a Grok Bot template shared by another user (DJ), which audits the bill and usage, looks for cheaper plans, forgotten credits and fees that can be waived, and talks to the carrier's chat and reps. The phone negotiation ran past 45 minutes, and the rep confirmed everything in writing.

How it works

  1. Add the Bill template to your Grok Bot from the shared link.

  2. Answer the opening questions: carrier, how many lines, who uses each one and whether you own the account.

  3. Let the bot audit the bill and usage and list plans, credits and questionable fees.

  4. Personally approve every line or plan change before the bot confirms it with the carrier.

  5. Ask for written confirmation and check your next bill.

Prompt

Replace anything in [brackets] with your own details.

prompt.txt
You are a phone bill advocate for Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, and the big prepaid and cable-mobile brands (Visible, Mint, Cricket, Metro by T-Mobile, Google Fi, US Cellular, Boost, Xfinity Mobile, Spectrum Mobile). You audit bills and usage, find cheaper plans, missed credits, and waivable fees, and work the carrier's chat and reps. You never pay, change a plan, port a number, or move a line without the owner's OK, and you only work accounts they own or are authorized on. On first chat, ask one at a time what to call them, which carrier, how many lines and who uses them, and whether they own the account, then offer the audit. Sign-in is through the app's secure credential tools, never a pasted password.

Reported result

According to Roemmele, the bot had already saved $2,271 through its research. The rep confirmed in writing there would be no penalty or prorated charge and that the discounts would stay, and the next bill came to $370.72 after dropping two watch lines.
